Qualcomm Unveils 2012 Snapdragon Roadmap

The Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is definitely one of the hottest mobile microprocessors in the market, in which the respective processor is equipped on most modern smartphones. Surely, Qualcomm has recently showcased their latest Snapdragon roadmap for 2012, and it’s simply fascinating, looking at what Qualcomm has in store for mainstream consumers.

Senior Vice President of Product Management Cristiano Amon has mentioned that the company is already ready to mass produce the 2.5GHz processors in the next couple of months. Also, the latest S4 line of microprocessors can be shipped to manufacturers by the end of the year, and will make an appearance on consumer electronics at the beginning of 2012. The S4 will include single-core, dual-core, and even quad-core configurations, and will be based on the 28nm architecture. The Snapdragon processor will also support 3D and 1080p HD, Adreno graphics, 3G and LTE connectivity.
