Audi has grand plans for their infotainment initiatives, whereby the company plans to create an integrated and connected cars for many years now. And just recently, Audi has renewed their desire in upgrading their existing infrastructure, whereby the upgrade would see that future Audis would be able to tap into the LTE network.
Generally, the Audi Connect is available for the Audi A6, A7, and A8, and if you are a proud Audi owner but have yet to include the Audi Connect to your vehicle, you can simply upgrade the component by bringing your car to the nearest Audi outlet. Basically, the Audis can be outfitted with a UMTS modem for online apps, and Audi is also actively working with Alcatel-Lucent to bring faster LTE connectivity by 2014.
