BumpTop is known as one of the OS overlay specialist, whereby the respective company has been attributed to many successful overlays for various operating systems, such as Windows 7 touchscreens, and they even did an overlay for a Mac version of their software as well.
Generally, Google acquired BumpTop just recently, and this means that the company will no longer sell their software to consumers in the market. Also, since BumpTop is acquired, there will be no future updates for their software as well. On the other hand, support for their existing software is not guaranteed, but you can still download their applications for free.
I’m guessing that Google might be using BumpTop’s specialties to redesign their ChromeOS and Android?
