DARPA Tests Advanced Hypersonic Weapon PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 01 December 2011
DARPA is always finding ways to make new weapons for the government, and their latest weapon venture is none other than an advanced hypersonic weapon. Dubbed as the Falcon HTV-2, the weapon prototype was recently tested at the Pacific Ocean, in which the hypersonic weapon flew at a lower trajectory, and crashing on the face of earth after its test.

Basically, the hypersonic weapon has an astonishing speed of Mach 20, and it can also travel to the furthest region of the earth in just an hour. Personally, I presume that the hypersonic weapon runs on the much touted scramjet engines, which has the potential to push the weapon to dizzying speeds. Despite recent military funding issues in the recent US government, the hypersonic weapon is still being researched by the government.
