HTC Releases Q3 Earnings Report: Profit Up 68 Percent, Shipments Soar 93 Percent PDF Print E-mail

If you have been following the smartphone market pretty closely, you’d know that HTC has scored tremendous success over this particular market segment, whereby the company is currently one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world. And judging by the fact that HTC is riding the Android boom, this gives HTC unprecedented success in their smartphone market segment, which propels their revenue and profit tremendously over the recent years.

HTC also announced their Q3 earnings just recently, with profit up 68 percent, and global smartphone shipments also increased by a whopping 93 percent. Net income rose to NT$18.68 billion (about $624.6 million) for Q3, and revenue also increased by a whopping 79 percent to NT$135.8 billion (around $4.54 billion). HTC attributed their success to strong brand recognition, expanded distribution channels and leading product portfolio. HTC also saw extremely strong sales in China, which increase by a factor of 9 in just a year.
