MIT and Harvard Researchers Working on Artificial Visual Cortex for Computers PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 06 December 2009
It seems that a group of MIT and Harvard researchers are set to create an artificial visual cortex for computers, whereby should the experiment succeed, this will allow computers to see just like how humans do. Nevertheless, this particular experiment will see that the entire visual cortex system will be basically reversed engineers, so that the technology can be fitted into a computer.

Personally, I believe that this somehow fits into the jigsaw puzzle that computers are becoming more human like, as we progress into the future. And if you take a look at several doomsday movies, such as The Matrix, Terminator, and etc, I’m sure you’ll understand that computers or rather artificial intelligence might dominate earth in the near future.
