We all know that Gordon Moore did a bold statement when he predicted that the computational power will double every two years. Basically, NVIDIA VP Bill Dally argued that Moore’s Law is indeed dead, as it is practically impossible for future computational devices to keep up with the law, unless other solutions are utilize.
NVIDIA VP Bill Dally also mentioned that putting more processors onto a single chip is inefficient, and that the future processors are more likely parallel solutions. Generally, such parallel computing solutions are cheaper and energy efficient, while processors with multiple cores will eventually consumer more energy in the future.
Do you think that Moore’s Law is dead?
