The United States economy is one of largest economies of the world. The economic history of America dated back to the 17th and the 18th century at the time of European settlement in America. The American economies were quite a successful economy at the time of the European settlement and this reflects some of the biggest success in today’s world. Their primary business in the earlier centuries was agriculture and the country was named as United States of America in the year 1776.

Today, the American economy is one of the largest economies of the world. The agricultural economy along with the industrialized economy worked really well to make American economy a success. There is a close integrity maintained between the two. The southern economy is an agricultural economy and while the North an industrialized one. The two are interdependent on each other; one working of one could not have been possible without the availability of the other. The success of the American economy lies in the unified market, supportive political legal system and availability of the resources. The US economy is a big success today with the highest GDP per capita leaving behind China and Japan. The US economy is consumer driven and caters to the growing needs of the customer.
