Republican Party is another very important and contemporary part of the US political parties along with the Democratic Party. The Republican Party was founded in the year 1854. This party was anti slavery. This party is always in minority in the United States of senate and the House of Representatives. The Republican Party is opposed to the Democratic Party and thereby has all the rule and laws against the slavery and they are opposed to people in minority. Abraham Lincoln was part of the Republican Party and took over the presidency in the year 1860. This party is younger to the two parties in the US political system. They were always in favor of free labor and start with the small business. Their approach towards the US economy and politics was modern. Their agenda was to modernize everyone and develop in them the spirit of entrepreneurship. They wanted to end slavery on the American land and bring upon growth and development on the American soils. The Republican Party is also known as the grand old party. The Republican Party lay emphasis on the role of free market. They believe in the filter down theory, the rich to help the poor.
