Just when the Xperia ‘Play’ made its grand debut a couple of months ago, it seems that Sony Ericsson has unleashed yet another smartphone into the market, which has an uncanny name – the Xperia Ray. Basically, the Xperia Ray is a quad-band GSM phone, and it also comes with 3G connectivity, which is suited for AT&T in North America. The Xperia Ray also operated on a 1GHz CPU and an Adreno 205 GPU.
The Xperia Ray comes with a 3.3-inch FWVGA screen, and operates on Android 2.3 operating system. There’s an 8.1-megapixel camera, and Exmor R sensor too, which gives users the ability to shoot photos at low-light conditions. Apparently, Sony Ericsson has partnered with NewEgg to distribute the phone, and you can get one for $425. Also, there are several color options available too, namely the gold, black, white and pink varieties.
